OSFR President Pam Smith has circulated the following email:
Dear OSFR Members,
You are invited to participate as water activists in the upcoming
CLEAN WATER RALLY
When: Saturday, October 29th, 2016
Time: Noon – 3 pm
Place: Downtown Fort White, Fl. US 47th and US 27th
Bring Signs that read any of the following:
No Pipeline
No Fracking
No Toxins
No Mining
No CAFOs (Concentrated Animal Feed Lots)
No Nitrates
Conserve
Save our Aquifer
Protect our Water
Honk if you Drink Water
This rally is to raise awareness of the many problems that are threatening our rivers, springs, aquifer and water. Our purpose is to attract the attention of political candidates running for office in our Aquifer districts and to have voters choose candidates that will protect our waters.
We have lost 30-40% of our spring flows over the last 10 years and if something is not done NOW we will loose even more. If you want your grandchildren to enjoy our cherished springs and to have clean water to drink, ACT now and JOIN us.
There will be a sign painting meeting prior to our scheduled OSFR Board meeting from 5:30 to 6:30pm on Wednesday October 26th with the Board meeting starting at 6:30pm. The public is invited to attend both.
See you there!
Where will the protest be held? If I’m not working I’ll be there.
Thank you for the effective promo. If you decide to make this into a FB event, it is easier for me to invite people.
Great – will do.
Done.
NOTE: The date needs to be corrected on the Clean Water Rally announcement. Right now, it is listed as 2015 on Oct. 29. A simple typo, no doubt.
Fixed. Thank you.
🙂
Thank you
