Let’s meet at the bandshell/amphitheater!

Goal*
To have a simple, peaceful demonstration that shows that Hearts in Orlando are with the Water Protectors and will not stand for MORE pipelines! This is not just a Native American issue, this is an American issue, a human issue!
This demonstration is NOT a “Native American Gathering” it is a human gathering. People of all colors, creeds, genders, orientations, religions, and cultures are very much encouraged and asked to participate!

Let us gather peacefully in front of Lake Eola to show our community, Local Government, and Federal Government that we stand in solidarity with the Water Protectors in North Dakota and stand against the Dakota Access, Iroquois, and Sabal Trail pipelines!

We need to be firm and insist our voices be heard, that this is not solely about Standing Rock being sacred lands or wanting to keep forests intact, but about environmental disasters in the making. They stand to affect us all.
All pipelines break eventually, and these are going to be built in haste (Edoda forbid).

They stand to raise global temperatures which is detrimental to the Poles if there is even a slight sudden shift.
Oil spills, explosions, forest clearing, water toxicity, wildlife conservation area destruction, aquifers collapsing, sink holes by the hundreds are some of the potential disasters that are bound to come of the pipelines

This is not just about “being against fossil fuels” or just a conservation problem, this is about rejecting an impending disaster and acknowledging our history and the consequences of our actions as humans.

*Tips

There is a Farmer’s Market and a yoga event happening at the same time, good visibility but we must remember to be respectful and non-invasive.
Please bring information, signs, sign making materials, water, snacks if you plan to stay for a while, sunscreen, comfortable shoes and maybe raingear because it is Florida. 🙂

Feel free to wear clothing with other messages and causes if you would like.
Please do not wear disrespectful costuming though, we are aiming to be as respectful as possible ❤

If any Natives have their regalia they would like to wear, or to bring Sage, Sweetgrass or Florida Water or other smudging and blessings, please bring them!
We will need lots of sage and sweet grass!

Hope to see you all there!!
