Sen. Nan Rich to Host Environmental Forum in Gainesville
Weston, FL – Senator Nan Rich announced today that she will hold an environmental forum in Gainesville later this month to discuss critical issues related to the management and conservation of our state’s water resources. “Few things affecting Floridians have a greater long-term impact on quality of life than the quality and availability of our water,” Senator Rich said. “Our state’s springs and rivers are among its greatest natural assets and we must take initiatives today to ensure their sustainability.”
The event, which will be held at the downtown public library on October 21st, features a panel of experts including Annette Long, President of Save our Suwannee; Merrillee Malwitz-Jipson, President of Our Santa Fe River; and Dr. Robert Knight, Director of the Florida Springs Institute.
This is an open forum and the public is encouraged to attend and participate.
