WATER SUPPLY PLANNING and/or REGIONAL WATER SUPPLY PLANNING.
Please take note of this in any newspaper announcements or press releases.
It is imperative that your local government planners and staffers participate in the meetings being held
between Suwannee River Water Management District and our neighbors St. John’s River Water
Management District. There will be impacts and there will be harm to our rivers, lakes, springs and
Floridan Aquifer. It is all documented in the exchange below.
I will do my best to keep you informed. Please contact St. John’s River Water Management District
to get on their e-mail list regarding Water Supply for the Upper Santa Fe River
and please note upcoming meetings:
July 30, Palatka, FL
Aug 20, Gainesville, FL
Oct 15, Starke, FL
AND work with everyone you know to conserve…conserve…conserve…water.
Note at the bottom of this e-mail string, what is happening to California’s San Joaquin Valley Aquifer.
I try to include news from around the nation and world so that we have a better understanding that we
are all in this together. Let’s protect our precious natural resources now before they are irreparably harmed.
In the near future, I will be sending a solo request to help OSFR stop yet another water bottling facility
on or near the Santa Fe River.
It is at Lily Springs. You have heard about it for years and now is the time we need your help.
