Please join us as we participate in our first tabling event since the Covid pandemic.  We will have useful and important information about our springs and aquifer, and also information about Our Santa Fe River, what we do, and how to join if you want to help protect the Santa Fe River and its springs.

Our rivers and springs are slowly dying with the blessings of our State of  Florida.    With the current state policy, the citizens must act to save our water resources.   Please consider becoming a volunteer to help in this struggle.

Our thanks to Rum 138 for their generous donation.  Rum 138 is the best place in Florida to rent a kayak or buy one, go by and check out their great vessels at 2070 CF 138, Fort White, Fl.

44th Annual Pioneer Days

120 NW 2nd Avenue, High Springs, Florida 32643

SATURDAY, APRIL 24, from 10am – 5pm

Spring has Sprung and so has OSFR – come join us to celebrate a day in the sunshine (we hope) for our first Tabling Event and Volunteer Opportunity this season at the Annual Pioneer Days Festival in beautiful downtown High Springs.

We are able to participate because of the numbers being vaccinated and because it is an outdoor event. Masks, social distancing and hand sanitizing will still be our protocol.

This year we will be focusing on education, such as our Karst Rock Demonstration which shows how what goes on the ground makes its way into our drinking water. A display of how much water is used to create the items we eat and use on a daily basis, and of course ways to conserve our water.

Rum 138 has generously donated a Gift Certificate for one tandem kayak or canoe rental/shuttle for a donation of $5 per ticket.  Drawing will be at 4 pm. – you do not need to be present to win.  Winner will be notified by phone or email.

Ticket holders can email: kristin.rubin@oursantaferiver.Org to check on status.

Please call or email Kristin Rubin to volunteer a few hours on Saturday, April 24th.

(305)582-3800 (call or text-text is best for faster response)
