The planning committee for RiverFest 2017 will meet for the first time on Wed. Sept. 21, at Rum 138, 2070 SW CR 138 from 6 – 8 pm. This event gets better every year, so we will have to work really hard to top last year’s RiverFest, which far exceeded expectations, thanks to our great crew.
This is a fundraiser, so our mission is to make money, but at the same time we educate, gain members and provide entertainment, and all of that was a huge success. An incredible amount of work is required to achieve this, so please come out and lend a hand. We are counting on you, and we cannot do it without you.
Our volunteers do not get rich, but they are all happy people with smiles on their faces, because they know their efforts are for a good cause, and that they are appreciated, and besides that, they get to work with other happy, nice people like themselves.
