The City Council of Waldo met tonight, March 14, 2017 and passed a resolution supporting a moratorium on mine permits in order to give Bradford County time to revise their Land Development Regulations.

Mayor Chuck Hall was quick to express his opposition to the mine, and he gave everyone who wanted, ample opportunity to speak. It was an informal and relaxed setting which facilitated discourse among audience and council members.
Thanks go to Carol Mosely who wrote the Resolution and for placing the item on the agenda, and for explaining the mine situation to the council. Also to OSFR members Jane Blaise and Walter Bickmeyer for attending, and local mine opponents John Linnehan and Gale Roberts
