The following announcement comes from the water management district.  OSFR welcomes and congratulates Mr. Keith, but is sorry to see that we continue without any representation by an environmentalist, as provided by Florida statutes.

This is a vacancy that continues and needs to be remedied.

LIVE OAK, FLA, Dec 1, 2016 – Governor Rick Scott recently appointed a new board member to the Suwannee River Water Management District (District) Governing Board. Charles Keith of Lake City, FL begins his service as of November 6, 2018 and will serve until he is eligible for reappointment on March 1, 2018.

“Water is our greatest resource and I believe it should be available for all of our area’s users,” said Charles Keith, newly appointed governing board member for the District. “I look forward to this exciting opportunity from Governor Scott, the District and Board to serve my local area and help ensure our water is available for years to come.”
