OSFR board member Kristin Rubin, who has been tabling and giving out free postcards to send to the water district, writes the following:

The outpouring from concerned citizens who follow the news, who are concerned about the lack of transparency and the lack of water management districts following their own rules has been absolutely amazing and Our Santa Fe River, Inc., says “thank you.”

Thank you for donating stamps, thank you for your offer of food and drink while we give out FLOOD postcards to mail to the SRWMD, which has blatantly dismissed the more than 19,000  comments emailed to them OPPOSING the Seven Springs Water Bottle Permit.  And finally, thank you very much for sending your comments to the SRWMD Board.

You will see Kristin (hard to miss wearing empty plastic water bottles)  next Sat. Feb. 6, 2021 at the 441 Alachua Farmer’s market at 5920 NW 13th St. in Gainesville from 9 to 12 am.

She will also have the free cards that afternoon at the High Springs brewery.

Additionally, you can also pick up your free postcard at Rum 138, or you can write make/send your own to:

SRWMD Board Members
9225 CR 49
LIVE OAK, FL 32060

Please tell the District to vote "NO" on the water permit.
