The Friends of Ichetucknee Springs State Park and staff of Ichetucknee Springs State Park along with special guest, Bellamy Beaver, would like to invite you to the “Annual Iche Nippy Dip Day.” Come participate in an old tradition of starting your New Year by taking a “nippy dip” in the beautiful, clear 72 degree water of the Ichetucknee Springs headspring. For the uninitiated, this is a perfect time to start your new tradition by taking the “nippy dip!”
Participants will take the plunge (or dip) at 10:00 a.m. with registration starting at 9:30 a.m. There will be a bathrobe contest after the dip with the award of “Most Fun Robe” being presented to the winner by our special guest. T-shirts sponsored by Honda of Gainesville will be presented to all participants. Hot chocolate and coffee will be available. Donations to the Friends of Ichetucknee Springs State Park, Inc. are always appreciated. The headspring is located at the North Entrance, off Elim Church Road (County Road 238). Come join the fun!
Fees: Free with regular park admission – $6.00 per vehicle.
