Last chance to see Little Red Riding Hood this weekend, Fri. and Sat. and then she is gone. About 200 visitors did the walk last Sat. night, and only a few strayed from the path. Of those, we will probably never see them again, but some may show up in the graveyard this weekend, though in what condition, it is hard to guess. I did witness the graveyard zombie get at least one hapless soul.
At one point on Saturday night, those awaiting entrance to the graveyard were chatting nervously, checking I-phones and “liking”Madness and Mayhem, when suddenly, out of nowhere, the fierce STILT MAN appeared unbeknownst to all: mass panic ensued and yours truly was nearly trampled as fleeing customers scattered in all directions. I was unable to determine how many fell to his clutches.
Little Red Riding Hood’s wonderful appearance took place only with the hard work of Andy and Terry Phelen and Chris Scott and their many and varied helpers. Here is a shot of the brave and faithful ticket takers at their post:
Things never quite got out of hand due to the constant presence of SECURITY, led by the brave and fearless Derek, shown here in costume, oh, er, uh, not sure if he is in costume or not…..
Chris, in costume
Here is Chris, definitely in costume.
Behind the scenes, it takes a lot of work:
