The Suwannee River Water Management District has sent out a notice of high water on the upper Santa Fe River. We are now using the additional gauges added after Irma, and we commend the District for its action to enable better communication during the next flood.

Important Change in Flood Forecasting
Following the record flooding from Hurricane Irma, a detailed survey and collection of flood impacts was completed at three stations in the upper Santa Fe River at the US 441 bridge near High Springs, near O’Leno State Park, and at Worthington Springs. As a result of this effort, flood stages and detailed impact statements have been created for these locations. Additionally, the Southeast River Forecast Center has enhanced their hydrologic model to provide new flood forecast services for these new locations.
Thank you so much. It is needed. Is there any way a gauge could be put at the Ira Bea Oasis boat ramp.
