Next Tuesday we have another chance (they are dwindling fast) to tell Tallahassee that we do not want new toll roads, which will put us in debt for decades and wreak havoc on our already maxed-out environment. Go the link and please register carefully (TWO STEPS: ONE TO REGISTER AND ONE TO SPEAK).
Note that at this time they have in-person meetings scheduled for June and July.
Please speak, however briefly, and say “no build” to these unnecessary roads, which are tickets to riches for a few “good ‘ole boy cronies” and tickets to destruction for our wildlife, aquifer, rural landscapes, agricultural lands, peace and quiet. You can call for all three, the more the better.
Remember: development is even worse than phosphate mining. It is the worst possible thing to harm the environment.
And even worse: we don’t need them. Building them is only a few schemers’ dream of getting richer.
Thanks to Lindsey Cross for the information.
