OSFR President Pam Smith sent out the following e-mail yesterday, Nov. 4, 2015;
OSFR is happy to announce that it is starting a Paddle Club which will be open to all current members of OSFR (and their families) and which will sponsor periodic paddles on the Santa Fe River. The purpose of the club is to create a benefit for all members and a way to get to know each other (and our river) better through a fun paddle activity.
The OSFR Paddle Club will also ask its participants to take photos of special Santa Fe River spots that can be submitted for consideration in creating our first OSFR 2017 Calendar (to be sold for fund raising purposes).
First Paddle will be Saturday, December 12th. Meet at 9:45 at the 441 bridge and in the water by 10 am. Bring your cameras and a pot luck plate to share when we stop at Pam Smith’s house (across from Lily Springs) for lunch. Members can paddle on to Rum Island (or more) after lunch or get a ride from Pam’s house back to the 441 bridge to pick up cars. Rides back from Rum island will also be available.
Remember Rum 138, Santa Fe Canoe Outpost and Adventure Outpost have kayaks and canoes for rental if you don’t have your own.
Call Pam Smith (386-454- 8823) for any questions and to check if your membership is current 386-454- 8823.

Definitely hope to see you all there! It will be fun! We may need a count so that we know how many people will need rides back to 441 unless they leave a car and go out at Rum Island. Pam
Hope to see you all there!! : )
I love love love this idea. Kudos to whomever thought up this idea! What a great way to bring like minded people together.
Sweet! I wanna go!
