Baker Co. Commissioners Listen to Request
OSFR made another plea to the Baker County Board of Commissioners yesterday to support the anti-fracking movement which is continuing to progress in Florida.
Over the past few months,resolutions have been passed in: Alachua County, Hamilton County, Miami-Dade County, Union County, Madison County, and Leon County. City resolutions have passed in: Coconut Creek, Hallandale Beach and Tallahassee. Leon County Soil and Water Conversation District has also passed a ban fracking resolution. The Florida Medical Association and the Garden Club have also passed similar resolutions.
Besides Baker County, OSFR is waiting to hear from several counties which are considering it, among them Columbia and Gilchrist.
