Center for Earth Ethics has chosen to post OSFR’s article “A Beautiful Gathering of Sabal Trail Opponents,” on their website under “About Us” and “News.” Center director Karenna Gore (daughter of Senator and Vice President Al Gore) was the keynote speaker at the rally against Sabal Trail on Jan. 23, 2017 in Tallahassee. OSFR had the pleasure of meeting her there and subsequently she requested our post for the website. This event was organized by Shannon Larsen and was well attended by OSFR members.
As written in the article, Karenna Gore is genuinely caring about the environment. Most celebrities who speak at our environmental functions have such busy schedules that they give their talk and quickly leave the meeting. Not so with Karenna, as she stayed the three hours and participated in the event.
Most will remember that Al Gore was a pioneer on climate change and a Nobel Peace Prize recipient, founder and current chair of Alliance for Climate Protection.
