Water quality remains one of Florida’s most important issues but from pollution to water bottling, development to agriculture — our state’s water supplies are at risk.
That’s why on December 16th from 5:00-6:00pm Representative Anna V. Eskamani will be bringing together scientists and advocates to talk about what’s at stake for Florida’s waterways, the role corporate special interests have played in Florida’s water history, and what we can do to protect Florida’s water for the future.
Featuring:
– Dr. Jeffrey Van Treese: Media Relations Chair, Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida
– Robert Shuford: Lead Scientist, Storm Treatment Area Policy Manager
– Beverly Ward: Field Secretary for Earthcare
– Reinaldo Diaz: Lake Worth Waterkeeper
– Diana Umpierre: Sierra Club Organizing Representative, Everglades Restoration Campaign, and former geographer for the South       Florida Water Management District
– Merrillee Malwitz-Jipson: Board Member for Our Santa Fe River
