R.I.V.E.R grant applications due 10/31″
LIVE OAK, FL, October 14, 2014 –The Suwannee River Water Management District
(District) will continue receiving applications for the Regional Initiative Valuing
Environmental Resources (RIVER) program until 4:00PM on October 31, 2014.
This cost-sharing program is available to governmental entities such as municipalities, water supply authorities, and other interested governmental entities, with specific projects committed to protecting Florida’s water supply, improving water quality, restoring natural systems or providing flood protection.
On September 17, 2014, the District held a technical assistance workshop for all
interested parties. Last year’s program produced 11 RIVER projects across the District that leveraged nearly $7.3 million in total funding.
