One of the Guest Speakers will be OSFR Policy Director Merrillee Malwitz-Jipson. Merrillee plans to discuss updates on the new proposed phosphate mining issue we are all having to contend with from our neighbors in Bradford County. While the nearly 11,000-acre operation will straddle the New River, a tributary to the Santa Fe River, the other neighboring county of Union has enacted a moratorium on any new mining, thereby allowing everyone to have some time to look at Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulations.
