Yesterday’s (Sept. 13, 2016) flotilla to the Santa Fe crossing of Sabal Trail pipe, sponsored by OSFR and Sierra Club was published in the Lake City Reporter today.

Reporter Tony Britt came to the Hwy 129 bridge over the Santa Fe River to speak to the group, led by Merrillee Malwitz-Jipson of Fort White, who is Organizer Representative for Sierra Club and who maintains a Sierra Club office at Rum 138, 2070 SW CR 138, headquarters for Our Santa Fe River.

The event took place simultaneously with several others, all done to protect our waters from the unnecessary Sabal Trail Transmission pipeline, in spiritual camaraderie with the Lakota Sioux and allies in North Dakota, who are trying to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Our thanks go to Tony Britt and the Lake City Reporter for publishing this photo and article dealing with this important issue.
