First victory for SB200, a true ban fracking bill. It has all the right language, including “matrix acidizing” and no amendments.
More committees to come, so don’t drink the champagne yet. Some opposition was present, but with much less passion than in preceding years.
Is this a sign that this is the year to end the shenanigans, tricky amendments and failure to carry out promises? Or were we just tossed this first little crumb, toyed with by the cat, knowing we will get stomped down the trail?
Cautious optimism.
