The WMNF public radio audience has been following the bottled water permitting saga for as long as our organization has been in existence. Seán Kinane and other radio journalists from this station have reported this recent bottled water permitting story for the WMNF listener audience for the past year. Rob Lorie was the first to invite Merrillee to speak over a decade ago when Our Santa Fe River and the local community fought off four other bottling operations on the Santa Fe River.
Listen in to the latest interview with Merrillee Malwitz-Jipson, a long standing Board Member with Our Santa Fe River to hear about the latest twists and turns over the bottled water permit application submitted to Suwannee River Water Management District by Seven Springs Water Company, who also own Ginnie Springs Outdoors. The springwater has a place to naturally exist in our springs and rivers, not to be siphoned and sold to a company like Nestle and put in single use plastic bottles.
