OSFR will have a special guest at the next board meeting on March 27, 2018. Mr. Charles Shinn III, Director of Government and Community Affairs of the Florida Farm Bureau Federation has accepted an invitation from OSFR President Mike Roth to participate in a discussion with the board about “… common water related goals of agricultural and environmental interests.”
As an agriculturalist, Mr. Shinn has a special interest in water, and can often be seen at the water district meetings and other activities related to water issues. President Mike writes that OSFR is “…looking forward to broadening our mutual understandings and attaining the ability to approach our water managers as a unified front.”
We have a short “special meeting” at 6:30 to ratify a bylaws change, and then we’ll have our regular meeting, where we can go right into our discussion.
OSFR board meetings are open to the public for all members and interested people. Our meeting will be at OSFR headquarters at Rum 138.
