SPOOKTACULA AT RUM 138 October 22, 2017 Miscellaneous 2 Comments Halloween event on Oct. 28th, Fundraiser for Our Santa Fe River and an owl refuge, Sunshine Wildlife Rehabilitation Tags: Fundraising - OSFR 2 Comments Good Morning, Thanks for all you do- Hope to meet you at one of the upcoming events- I am the managing director for Sunrise Wildlife Rehabilitation- we are wildlife rehabilitatators of all native species- injured , orphaned or displaced. We are NOT a REFUGE or sanctuary. The owls we present are educational and have been deemed non-releasable. They are the only wildlife we keep as wildlife ambassadors in the hopes of spreading a deeper appreciation for wildlife and our natural world. I have subscribed to your daily newsletter for years- and follow you closely. We should meet. We are environmental activists in another fashion, we do many events in this area. Reply When the public finds injured wildlife, one of the biggest hurdles is finding a qualified wildlife rehabilitator. High Springs has one- Sunrise Wildlife Rehabilitation- we hold both state and federal permits for mammals and birds. 352-222-2239 in our helpline number, we strive to pick up the phone or call back quickly. http://WWW.sunrisewildlife.org to learn more about us and we have a Facebook page: sunrisewildlife@sunrisewildlide to advertise the many off site interpretive wildlife programs, as well as show intake photos and release of species. Saturday before last morning- we picked up 2 Barred Owl hit by cars- one is still in rehabilitation here-the other transferred-after stabilization because injuries were beyond our facility`s capabilities. At present SWR is rehabilitating a young Sherman Fox Squirrel- 3 Virginia opossum- 4 southern flying squirrels-1 ground dove- 1 mourning dove. We just released a eastern bluebird and a summer tanager. 352-222-2239 Sunrise Wildlife Rehabilitation Inc. High Springs Reply Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
