Thanks to some concerned citizens in Bradford County, we now have a sign in beautiful downtown Lawtey, right at the single stop light on US Hwy 301, and one at the Starke City dump, where everyone entering and leaving the dump can not help but see it. And one more on busy Hwy 301 in the outskirts of Starke.
We are still looking for more locations on busy highways, especially in Starke. If you have or know someone who has a good location, please contact us at this website.
We need Bradford County residents to come forward and tell the commissioners that we do not want this destructive mine, which will forever change the peaceful, rural nature of Bradford County.
The county commissioners meet every first Monday at 9:30 am in the courthouse at 945 N Temple Ave, and every third Thursday at 5:30 pm. Every session they have a public comment time at the beginning of the meeting where anyone can speak for three minutes. If you want to help stop the mine, please come and simply tell the commissioners how you feel, it is easy and painless and they listen politely. They are there to serve you and the county, and they want to know your concerns. That is their job.
