945 N. Temple Ave, Starke, Thursday Sept. 20, 2018, 6:30 pm.

Following is the agenda for Bradford Co.  on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018.  Please come out and stand up and say you oppose the mine. That is all that is required to put that opposition in the record.  Tell the commissioners that the people do not want the mine.  Yes we can beat big money.  We can and we will win this fight.  Come and be part of it and help save New River and the Santa Fe.

Get ready for the final action by the board, probably in January of 2019.  Come Thursday and say no to the mine.

Thanks to Kate Ellison for sending this agenda.

  1. The “public hearing” is in fact the Bradford County Commission’s Quasi-Judicial hearing from lawyers, when the commissioners decide if they will permit this mine in our county. This hearing will be the culmination of nearly three years of the public’s questions & resistance and commission silence.

    1. Kate is correct. BOCC has been deliberately mislead by predatory corporate lawyers on the mining end and ALSO by incompetent county attorney Will Sexton. The public has been shut out of any dialogue w/ mining principles or their paid consultants YET county attorney meets behind closed doors w/ Mining Attorneys AND Consultants. What is wrong with this picture? Seems like the county attorney is “helping” the miners to get the “right” permit….and on top of that the county attorney is budgeted to get a $30K raise (40%) in new budget. Does anyone think this looks wrong?!? I do.
