OSFR Board Meeting January 2016

At the January regular meeting of the Our Santa Fe River Board of Directors, two new board members were voted in,  Terry Phelan of Fort White, well known for her charity work with Madness & Mayhem, and Jim Tatum, also of Fort White and currently historian and Newsletter writer for the organization.

Terry has an A. A. degree with honors from Valencia Community College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of Central Florida, graduating Summa Cum Laude.   This training enables Terry to bring to Our Santa Fe River her many skills in graphic design and photography, in which she majored in college.  Besides Madness & Mayhem, Terry has had experience working with the non-profit Lions Club in High Springs, and in 2013 she received the Lion of the Year Award. She has been very active in OSFR as a volunteer and has given many hours to our events and activities.

Originally from Nebraska via New Orleans, Jim spent 40 years in Tampa and moved to the Santa Fe River in 2003.  He was previously a board member in 2014-15, and has worked for some time on the  website during the transfer from the old platform to Word Press.  He attends many of the water meetings in order to post the news, and is active in Floridians Against Fracking.
