George Linzmayer and grandchildren, happy winner of VIBE kayak.

We are happy to announce the lucky winner of the brand new and beautiful Yellowfin VIBE kayak is George Linzmayer of St. Cloud, Florida.

Born in Gainesville, George is a true lover of our North Florida rivers and springs and has enjoyed kayaking the Santa Fe and Ichetucknee rivers since he was a youngster.  He happily notes that state regulations have improved the Ichetucknee which used to be full of beer cans and bottles.  Now when he brings his grandkids to enjoy the river it is much cleaner.
George is thrilled to know he won, not that he ever expected anything from his $100 donation to help protect the springs.
The  VIBE kayak with a retail value of $750 was generously donated by Rum 138, the business which headquarters Our Santa Fe River and is run by Merrillee and Doug Jipson of Fort White.
Thanks to the hard work of OSFR and Florida Springs Council volunteers, this fundraiser brought in over $3,000  for Our Santa Fe River which in turn donated the proceeds to the Florida Springs Council, an organization which strives to create an umbrella of policy and legislative protection for all springs in the State of Florida.  Funds will be used to support the work FSC does in partnership with OSFR to protect the Santa Fe River and its springs.
