The Ichetucknee Alliance just this week has come out with the new bumper sticker shown above. This is an addition and improvement which tells “the rest of the story” vis-a-vis the old half-truth sticker “No farms no food.”
The perceived rift between agriculture and environmentalists is based on miscommunication, rabble-rousers and misconception. Both groups want the same thing, a sufficient sustainable water supply. Education is paramount here and that is our hope and salvation and a worthy mission.
Cheers to the Ichetucknee Alliance for this step forward.

-A river is like a life: once taken, it cannot be brought back-
It is about time that the environmental community sees the issue of water conservation in the light of agricultural fellowship–assuredly, “No Water, No Farms, No Food!” As long as the real issues at hand, and not meaningless “hippy” issues, are weighed the balance of demonstrable science–NOT political or “junk science” rhetoric, then there is a glimmer of hope. The prospect of water shortage in Florida is not an environmental pipe dream, but a conservationist’s nightmare!
