Award-Winning Florida Filmmaker Hosts Private Screening of TALES OF SUNSHINE Docuseries in Orlando, Florida

On December 18th, 2021, award-winning director Vincent Marcucci will debut the highly anticipated
environmental documentary series Tales of Sunshine: Florida Ecostories to an audience of cast, crew and local
environmental contributors. The four-part series journies [sic] into the meditative depths of Florida ecology to
discover intimate stories of four naturalists during the height of COVID-19. Explore the interconnected web of
life with a conservation biologist, a mermaid, a fisherman, and a farm worker coalition leader. The independent
series was produced by students and alumni from the University of Central Florida and includes stories from
Marion, Alachua, Gilchrist, Osceola, Polk, Palm Beach, and Collier County.
The private screening will play for cast and crew members, contributors and the local environmental
community at the independent Enzian Theater in Maitland, Florida from 8:45am – 11:00am. The screening will
be followed by a panel discussion with the featured naturalists and filmmaker.
About the Filmmaker:
Vincent Marcucci, age 23, has received numerous awards from the National Academy of Television Arts &
Sciences and Campus Movie Festival. His past short films Thrift Store and Split Oak have screened at theaters
and festivals in New York City and Cannes, France. Vincent was raised in Cape Coral, Florida and graduated
with a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Environmental Studies from the University of Central Florida.
With this release of his thesis undergraduate film series, Marcucci plans to share a new artistic perspective on
Florida ecology and conservation using stunning cinematography and immersive sound design. The short
docuseries weaves together captivating histories of curiosity, resilience, and environmental and social justice.
