BRADFORD COUNTY RESIDENTS  PLEASE COME AND BRING YOUR NEIGHBORS!  LOCAL RESIDENTS CARRY MORE WEIGHT WITH THE COMMISSIONERS!

The Santa Fe River needs your protection this Thursday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 pm.  Come to Starke to the  Bradford Board of County Commissioners at 945 North Temple Ave.  Tell the commissioners why a huge phosphate mine astride New River, on the banks of the Santa Fe, is INSANITY.   The Alafia River in Hillsborough was ruined in 1997 by a breached retention pond full of poisoned phosphate water.  This could happen here.  It isn’t supposed happen, it is not likely to happen.  But it did happen.

Don’t let it happen.  Come to this meeting and tell the commissioners you like your river, and you don’t want some business to risk your river for their private gain.

We do this by promoting public awareness pertaining to the ecology, quality, and quantity of the waters and lands immediately adjacent to and supporting the Santa Fe River, including its springs and underlying aquifer.
