The Florida Springs Institute has sent the following information. We are happy to see this addition to the already very well-staffed Institute. This Institute is a shining light among the politicized state water agencies and groups, which have industry and self-serving politics as their end, instead of the health of the springs and rivers.

The Howard T. Odum Florida Springs Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation originally founded under the auspices of Florida's Eden. The organization's founder, Dr. Robert L. Knight, carried out landmark ecological research at Silver Springs, Florida, under the direction of Dr. Odum in 1979-1980 and follow-up studies in 2004-2006 and 2009-2010.
