LIVE OAK, FL, July 8, 2014 – The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) Governing Board has approved the Tentative Fiscal Year (FY) 2014 budget of $24.5 million.
Our Santa Fe River, Inc. was represented by President Merrillee Malwitz-Jipson and two other members. President Malwitz-Jipson expressed her concern for the continued permits being issued, and requested a moratorium on large withdrawals until accurate, acceptable minimum flows and levels are in place for the Ichetucknee and lower Santa Fe Rivers.
