A recent post (“Name Change for Florida Water & Land Legacy”, Aug. 16,2015) outlined the new name for this organization, which is now Florida Conservation Voters. We will recall that this is the organizer for the Amendment 1 campaign.

This old group with a new name took a recent poll among supporters which revealed the list of priorities, as follows:

water, climate change, wildlife, parks, Everglades, beaches, no drilling, springs, and transportation.  A bit surprised that springs is so far down on the list.

To answer the question “What is the ONE activity you feel would be  most important for Florida Conservation Voters to undertake?”, the answer is “Electing pro-environment state candidates and defeating anti-environment state lawmakers.”

Right on!

We do that in many ways including posting articles here on Our website. To that end, we use many articles from many different sources. So we send out a huge THANK YOU to all of those friends and other advocates who give their time and energy by writing about what matters most to us, protecting Our Santa Fe River and letting us republish those items here on our website.
