On the evening of October 30, President Pam Smith of OSFR attended the monthly meeting of the High Springs Rotary Club in High Springs and gave a presentation of information of the Santa Fe River, as well as the springs, rivers and aquifer.
This is a powerpoint presentation, largely put together by Kathy Fleming with the help of others in the group. Its purpose is to educate about the water problems we face.
The Rotary members were receptive and had questions which resulted in discussion after the presentation. Others present were president-elect Mike Roth , Cindy Noel and your historian.
OSFR plans to continue this educational program, presenting to varied and multiple groups withing the community, using different speakeres from the group.
