RiverFest honors our Santa Fe River through hikes, a Spring Hop paddle, a Songwriting Contest, a silent auction and a paddle board auction. Established in 2010, many amazing and unique songs have been written and presented on behalf of our river. Many of these songs can be accessed through our YouTube page.

RiverFest is hosted by Our Santa Fe River, Inc. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of the springs, water, aquifer, land and ecosystem of the Santa Fe River in North Central Florida.

The Hikes :

The RiverFest Plant Hikes with Dr. Jacono will highlight aquatic and wetland plants of the low-lying hardwood forest and swamps of the Santa Fe River basin. The link below lists the details of both 1.5 mile hikes; one on March 9th and the other on the 16th.

The Springs Paddle:

Master naturalist and historian Lars Anderson will guide a springs paddle tour where you will visit the many springs on the Santa Fe River. The Springs Hop is on Saturday, March 23, 2024

The Singer/Songwriter Contest :

The song contest includes a judged competition of original works created by singer/songwriters whose theme centers around the Santa Fe River. The Singer/Songwriter contest is on Sunday, March 24, 2024, 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

The Silent Auction:

The Silent Auction features an exciting list of items that are donated by our area’s accomplished artists, businesses, and individuals. The auction is held during the SInger/Songwriting contest on Sunday March 24th, 2024.

The Paddleboard:

A unique inflatable paddleboard, Limited Edition ‘Rattler’ based on a Florida wilderness theme. The winner will be announced on the day of the Singer/Songwriter contest: March 24th, 2024.

Other attractions:

There are also food vendors, beverages from local breweries, a pop-up t-shirt printer, a live mermaid, and a 50/50 raffle.
