A statement from below:
It empowers the People, to include individuals, businesses, nonprofits, tribes and local governments, to hold state executive agencies ACCOUNTABLE for (threatened) harm to Florida waters.
Indeed, our state agencies are deliberately allowing our water resources to slowly die.  They must be held accountable.

Florida’s Right to Clean Water campaign is nonpartisan, advancing an apolitical solution to our water problems, receiving cross-partisan support throughout the state.

The citizens’ initiative to amend Florida’s Constitution with the Right to Clean and Healthy Waters is DIFFERENT from everything else you may be used to regarding water solutions.

While it complements continuing, important advocacy work by conservation groups and concerned citizens, it is a legal stopgap, to put a CLEAR line in the sand where Floridians will go no further regarding the degradation of our waters.

It constitutionalizes aspects of preexisting people power and judicial authority to RESTORE, for good, critical checks and balances for water protection.

It empowers the People, to include individuals, businesses, nonprofits, tribes and local governments, to hold state executive agencies ACCOUNTABLE for (threatened) harm to Florida waters.

Whether you’re affiliated with one of these parties, or non-party affiliated, let’s be abundantly clear:

All Floridians need the Right to Clean and Healthy Waters.
