Warm but Beautiful Day for Fundraiser

Songs and inspiration were provided by talented speakers and musicians at Chiappini’s in Melrose,  at a fundraiser attended by friendly, enthusiastic people from far and wide and all walks of life.

These are people who love Florida as it is and want to keep from the devastation of phosphate mining.  Residents, environmental groups, Alachua County commissioners and citizen groups are all working hard to stop this dangerous risk to the New River and the Santa Fe.

Thanks go to all the volunteers, the workers, those who donated raffle items and to Mark Chiappini for the use of his facilities.
