Be Part of the Solution on May 24th

algae growth from nutrient loading

Our river and springs are in need of your help. You can be part of the solution by signing up to attend the upcoming BMAPS meetings beginning on May 24th. Too many nutrients are entering our waterways leading to dangerously high nitrates and algae growth.

Lets be part of the solution by encouraging the DEP to reduce nutrients from both residential and agriculture application. BMAPs contain a comprehensive set of solutions, such as permit limits on urban and agricultural nutrients designed to reduce pollutants  by a total maximum daily load (TMDL). For the BMAP to be effective we need to identify the sources and provide direct and actionable targets.
