FLOOD the Suwannee River Water Management District Board Members with postcards
In one last attempt to get the Suwannee River Water Management District to listen and pay heed to the interests of the public, OSFR is launching a Postcard Campaign.
We plan to give a postcard to everyone willing to send it to the SRWMD office. The postcards will already be addressed, all you need to do is add a stamp and write a short message: Say No to Nestle, Stop the Nestle Water Grab, Keep our River out of Plastic Bottles, or anything similar. Then, sign name and town/city of residence and mail.
We will be present at 3 Farmers’ Markets this week to distribute postcards:
WEDNESDAY – Union Street Farmers’ Market at Bo Diddley Plaza, Gainesville, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
FRIDAY – High Springs Farmers’ Market, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. (Behind the Welcome Center in Downtown High Springs)
SATURDAY – Alachua County Farmers’ Market, Highway 441, 8:30 to Noon
Also, there will be a scan thermometer/ gloves/ masks and wipes for your safety.
If getting a card at one of these places is not convenient, please make your own and send. Please put your address, and just say: NO PERMIT.
Please join our effort! Contact Kristin Rubin at kristin.rubin@oursantaferiver.org or phone/text at 305-582-3800.
