Fun time at the OSFR annual membership meeting at Rum 138. Our yearly party/board meeting took place Wed., May 23 with merriment and hard business, mostly the former.
The beautiful new deck at Rum 138 Headquarters served as the perfect venue with comfortable chairs and tables, covered overhead with a tarp and colored lights. We were happy to see a good number of guests and new faces.
The pleasant time was enhanced by the splendid display of food, which consisted of delicious meatballs, shrimp, many different cheeses, crackers, dip, veggies for dipping, a wonderful platter of myriad olives, and cookies, cookies, cookies of all kinds. Plus various wines and a large cooler of soft drinks. I probably left something out.
Lots of good news with Pam Smith giving a detailed rundown of her 2 1/2 – term as president. For her many and meritorious achievements she was this year’s proud recipient of the legendary and coveted OSFR Golden Gripper Award.
Congratulations Pam!
During the business session someone moved that all current officers and duties be retained for the next year, and everyone voted yes.
Other happy news is that Pam Smith, Martha Strawn, Bill Latham and Patty Street are all now Lifetime Members.
