RiverFest Celebration & 10th Annual Singer/Songwriter Contest

Join us Sunday, March 27th for a local favorite!

The RiverFest Celebration will feature the 10th Annual Our Santa Fe River singer/songwriter contest.  This competition of original songs written about the Santa Fe River brings local and regional singer/songwriters and music lovers from around the state to celebrate and learn about a special spring-fed river.

The RiverFest Celebration will also include booths from the Florida Springs Council’s member organizations, face painting for everybody, locally crafted beer, food and wine, a 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction with many interesting and unusual items including pieces donated by the area’s leading artists and craftsman.

$10 donation, 12 and under free. Purchase tickets here OR at the gate on the day of the show.

Order online or show proof of purchase at the door for your paddle and/or hike and receive $5 off their entry ticket to the Riverfest Singer/Songwriter contest.

Remember that RiverFest is Our Annual Fundraising event! Your donations help keep our Santa Fe River protected now and for future generations.

“Our goal is to make it easy for area residents and visitors to have fun and learn more about our precious water resources,” said Rhonda Long, 2019 RiverFest Event Chair. “The events also will enable us to raise funds so we can continue our grassroots efforts to protect the aquifer, springs and waters in this area.”

The outdoor event will be held at Rum 138, located at 2070 Southwest County Road 138 in Fort White.

We encourage all songwriters to write a song about the river and share their talents with our community. Through the contest’s history, there have been more than 50 songs written about the Santa Fe River and some musicians have gone on to receive air play and Internet play of their compositions.

The competition is open to all amateur & professional songwriters who would like to participate. Judges will look for originality, quality of lyrics, melody and performance. The finalists will take the stage during the afternoon and will have an opportunity to win the $300 first place prize, $150 second place prize, and $50 third place prize. Each finalist will receive a professional video of their performance, which also will be placed on YouTube.
