According to Mark Lyons, who is interviewed for the Baker County Press, Twin Pines Minerals has reduced the area it wants to mine to about 800 acres, but covertly plans to expand once it gets a permit to operate.

Twin Pines also has  cut corners in its current operations and has been cited for illegal procedures.  OSFR has posted multiple times about its environmentally destructive operations.

During its public information meetings in Georgia in 2019, the company showed itself to be unfit and unprepared for its proposed operations very near the protected Okefenokee Swamp which is the headwaters for the Suwannee River.

Our thanks go to Mark Lyons for this information.
