New Propaganda from Nestle

Buyer beware.

This is the kind of nonsense that Nestle and bottled water companies will want us to believe. 100% recycled plastic bottles. They will try to influence us and the public to make us believe that somehow their bottles are much better and good for the environment. This will be the new ploy, the new marketing tactic, for us to buy their product and deplete our springs and freshwater resources.

                OSFR board member Merrillee Malwitz-Jipson

Merrillee is being too kind:  Nestle’s webpages are full of lies and omissions which give a distorted view of their product.  They say they care for the environment and take water only from sustainable sources which is not true.  The Santa Fe and springs have declined in flow and become increasingly polluted by fertilizer nitrates.  It is declining and not being sustained.

Even with water management help, nitrates have increased since a Basin Management Action Plan was put in place 6 years ago with the explict purpose of reducing nitrates.  Instead, nitrates increased.

If Nestle cared for the environment they would not deplete its water resources and pollute the planet with millions of plastic bottles.

As Merrillee writes above, this is a Nestle ploy to brain wash the public  into thinking they are what they are not: good guys helping out the world.

What they are doing is helping destroy and pollute the world, just to make themselves richer.

  1. Vittel Water is a Nestle bottled water product. Spinning marketing to make us buy their spring water wrapped in plastic. Don’t buy this stuff!
