Please plan to join us on Wed. Feb. 23 for our monthly board meeting as we plan to have Democratic Congressional candidate in District 3 Danielle Hawk present to speak.  She is running for the seat currently occupied by Kat Cammack.  I don’t know Kat’s views on water but if you attend our meeting you can learn what Danielle thinks about Florida’s water problems.

The board meeting will take place at 6:30 pm at OSFR headquarters at Rum 138, 2070 W CR 138, Fort White, FL.

The  following comes from the website of Danielle Hawk:

Danielle has spent her entire life fighting for every day people. Growing up in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Danielle watched her parents work hard to make ends meet for their three children while still finding a way to take care of others. Her parents’ community-oriented approach to life instilled in her the importance of living a life of compassion and service. From a young age, Danielle has always made it a priority in her life to spend her free time volunteering at community organizations or finding ways to lead through service, like when she led a community-wide project to gather Christmas gifts for troops stationed overseas.

Danielle volunteered in Central America where she took part in a year-long program aimed at supporting impoverished and orphaned children in El Salvador and Guatemala. After returning to the US, she attended college in South Florida, where she started a career in higher education before settling in Gainesville. Danielle holds a BA in Ministry from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Biola University.
