Apologies from your historian for not posting on RiverFest, as he found himself in Argentina on the day of RiverFest. It is with difficulty I have found photos of the event, and thanks to Merrillee for the few I have. Everyone, it seems, was too busy with their tasks to find time for photos.
Teresa Thune. First place winner. Who is
that in the background?
David Roberts takes second place.
Bacon James, takes third. He was the winner|
at RF2023.
Judges for the contest, Tom Machnik, Carol Richardson,
and Nicole Tart.
President Joanne Tremblay,
who did an incredible job and
made it all come together.
The silent auction was a huge success and many RF goers went home laden with all sorts of treasures. Kudos to Marian Moss and Patty Street (in background) who made it work.
Trini Johannesen explains her unique Parknership Program which OSFR proudly supports.
Suwannee RiverKeeper John Quarterman traveled
from Georgia for the event. The Santa Fe River, as the main tributary of the Suwannee,
falls under the able protection of the Suwannee RiverKeeper.
Thanks go to the hardworking individuals who care for the river for making RiverFest 2024 a success.
