The plants that comprise the bottomland forest have likely changed little in the past 20,000 years. Discover ancient water hickory and tupelo trees on the gradual ascent from an extensive floodplain to a mature mesic forest richly studded with stately oaks and prominent understory shrubs. This incredible property was rescued in 2022 from pending development in an amazing response by Alachua Conservation Trust for protection in perpetuity.
