Our Santa Fe River (OSFR) turned sixteen this year, and we reminisce about all the fun and challenges that our shared passion has brought us.
We have fought to reduce excessive water withdrawals, prevent harm from mining, fracking, feedlot and agricultural runoff, housing sprawl, and for the right to clean and healthy water. We also denounce the atrocities committed by government agencies that fail to adhere to the laws protecting our natural resources.
Through it all, we also make time to simply enjoy the beauty and fun of hiking, paddling, swimming, and exploring this beautiful river and the surrounding lands. Sandy Hubbard was our Outings Director for a time, and we fondly remember the adventures we shared together. Through her adventures, we reached many people who share our passion for our river and springs. Thank you Sandy for the great memories of our adventures together.
